But yeah it is so hard when you release something, because without money for promotion getting a lot of downloads is really hard!

Maybe contact as many blogs and reviewers of apps as you can, and ASK THEM (never cold solicit people) if it would be ok to send them your app for review.

A review here and there will certainly drive some downloads.

Maybe If I send to a lot of them I will get one or two free review :)
Also YouTube is a great way

Throw it on xda-developers if it got lots of downloads and users recommend it to moderators, they will right a small article about it and that will boost your download count a lot
