I see software engineering mostly devolving to be simpler syntax, more widespread and reach more range of people, including non-tech ones.

That’s now obviously leading to more crappy javascript code, more abandoned frameworks, libraries, more shitty software and more dev rants.

    They'll just say "uhhh, modern languages are so slow" and try to throw more hardware at the problem

    Well I don't know if EVERYONE is going down the shit hole, because if not, those few companies which do things properly will have an advantage. With the power of LISP (that's a personal wish 😛).

    Everyone is taking the same path, more complex stuff means more error prone, unless there is good management, great budget and good team of developers that don’t change their job every two years.
