So... The scrapyard man who I gave my scrap gave me this beauties he had there for years...
Anyone knows how I can test the screens and maybe build a desktop screen out of them?

    scratch the reusing of the screens... Unless you want to spend money in a controller. They are like 15€ in Aliexpress, but still...

    @CodeMonkeyG Real nice :p
    Now, I wanted that with only the screen...
    But I would need to buy a specific driver for each screen and I'm not into that...
    If only I could use it with an Arduino or Pi...

    I'd love if you could keep me updated, since mine is a 1920x1080 really good panel @GyroGearloose

    Found something:

    https://instructables.com/id/...

    Still, need to buy the specific controller (which will be useless if the screen is not working) but it's a very well explained instructable.

    Sadly there is no way around controller .. arduino is not powerfull enough and raspi is not real time enough. Those controllers do a lot of fast work ... I asume you tried just turning those on .. or in some way repairing them just to the point of where screen outputs something.
    In eather way you would need to get the panel off and find sticker on it with serial number and as much info as you can find out, and send it to the seller of the controll board, so seller can give you board with the right firmwate for your display.
    Btw. Is it worth it ? Arent those some horible low res?

    @Chill Yep, none of these are worth the price and wait for a controller...
    the only one that could be interesting is from my old laptop and was my first laptop scrapping and I fucked the connections.
    Well, there is lot more stuff I can salvage from these babies :D

    @Gregozor2121 Nope, all dead. Only one could be alive but no.

    @GyroGearloose they may yet have some use in them ... look up what can be done with backlight from those lcd displays :) I have seen people use them as neat smooth light sources.

    That is actually the best idea so far for these screens.
