in my country recruiters post jobs, about programming jobs. But when you attended the interview you'll be surprised! It is a fckin call center!

ltlian21966yNot intending to be contrarian, but I've mostly had pleasant experiences with them. I'm not a "superstar" dev which might be why they mostly leave me alone.
My only negative experience was when I was contacted via LinkedIn (relevant for later) while waiting to start a new job, and I figured I "may as well" since I technically didn't have a job until I actually have that job.
I've fleshed out my LinkedIn profile fairly well with links to projects, achievements along with "what I learned" blurbs, and personality things relating to dev environments.
After the first chat with the recruiter, he gave me this weird verdict where he listed all the things I needed to improve before he could give me an interview for a potential employer. "You struggle to come up with examples of previous work, you say nothing about whether you are able to work with others" and so on.
Nothing like being told I need to prepare better because they didn't prepare by even glancing over my profile.
