I also liked this one, my proposal for you is read Armada from the same author when you finish 🙂
If you like sci-fi stories with teenage heroes I also liked Scythe by Neal Shusterman

@delc82 no problem I started listen to audiobooks instead of music or watching movies recently during my programming sessions and since sci-fi cinema nowadays is dominated with some marvel/dc universe productions and there is not much to watch I got myself into audiobooks and fell in love with them.

    Better than the film.

@cursee i also like the book better because of the content. But i like the movie a lot, it was written between the author(Ernest Cline) and Zak Penn, so it was still an original work though and I really enjoyed how they adapted. My only gripe was them not showing how or who found the first test.

My girlfriend is reading it. She seems quite pleased by it.

OK ill be the one that asks, the original ready player one or movie adaptation book?

If it's the original what's it like, looking at getting it :-3

The movie has to cut off and shorten this and that from original book.

That's why I prefer the book over movie.

The movie's animation and scenes are cool of course.

Plot-wise, book is better and details.

The book is awesome. Couldn't let it go. Took me about 5 days.

Its a bit corny sometimes but its still a great read.

If you like sci fi go check out peter f hamilton.

If you like ready player one definitely give "Snowcrash"by Neal Stephenson a go as well. And "Daemon" by Daniel Suarez.

Snowcrash is another "this is what VR could be like" story (though more cyberpunk) and "Daemon" does the same for AR. Three of my favorite books of all time.
