"If it's stupid but it works it is still stupid but you were lucky and a fucking debil" - another version by somebody.... -
mrgadget4766yHmm... looks like some kind of safety switch.
Still you can sleep sound in the knowledge that if your heating system catches fire the cable tie will melt and release the button. -
Sefie16576yI so know how you feel.
I recently moved to my parent's house (they moved to the countryside).
When we tried to fix the whirlpool through the maintenance hatch I noticed, there was no pump to be seen. Apparently my dad thought it would be a great idea, to install the pump in one corner of the tub and the hatch in the opposite corner... -
joykill3436y@Sefie look at it from the bright side... You still have a house with a (albeit somewhat difficult to maintain) pool!

Sefie16576y@joykill yep. and meanwhile we found that pump in the basement with a lightswitch next to it. It was just switched off electrically.

Just found out my house's heating system relies on this. A button, being held down by a bolt held by a zip tie. Who in their right mind looked at this, was like "this is fine" and left it there.
My dad, apparently.
