It fails to do the correct input, because who in their right mind would enter two signs after eachother?
This is not a bug but a a feature so you dont have to remove a character while accidentally typing the wrong character. -
@Spark no it shouldnt, when placing a sign when a sign is placed it replaces that sign, its a feature I use a lot myself, and Im simplifying myself while entering.
-
@Spark fortunately for you the minus sign is not the same as the negative sign.
The negative sign is in the bottomleft.
Both of those features are documented (let me find the docs for you when Im in the train) -
GMR51635606yWas about to pop in and say it works fine on Windows 10 if you're using the scientific mode and you simply change the sign, but I see Codex404 already got it.
Carry on. -
@Gregozor2121 the same functionality was in there as well. I just checked, even XP had this.
How hard can it be to make a calculator app. Apparently Microsoft cannot get it right. You might say hey, but it works already. No it does not. See in math 1-(-1)=2 because the double minus sign cancel each other and turn into a plus. Well the w10 calculator app, just does 1-1=0 and show that this is the result. Yes this is the result of one minus one. This is not the result of one minus minus one. This is basic math .... Stop focusing on the interface and code the base right Microsoft.
