Just design along https://motherfuckingwebsite.com/ (safe for work) and call it "brutalism".

joykill3436y@dev1410 short answer, of course!!
Being a dev can be about sooo much more than just the Web... I'm myself trying to move away from the Web bit by bit...
Its certainly possible, you just have to keep learning -
html and css are designer's tools, if you want to call yourself software engineer, you should learn some actual software engineering skills+tools.
-
dev14103816yYeah I'm good at Python, Java, PHP, JavaScript, (more related to backend)
but I don't know what is wrong with my brain when I started to work with HTML and CSS, I can crawl your website as hell even your website is a single page web application.
but can't built a single HTML template., the big mistery of my life -
@dev1410 actually, it's pretty easy. HTML is for the semantics to tell what this piece of text is. Is it a heading, a link or a paragraph? Mostly, you have a begin and an end tag for the enclosed piece of text.
And then you have CSS where you say what you want specific things to look like. And here are two problems. First, what colour schemes, layout and whatnot do actually work nicely. Second, how do you have to nest shit to achieve that, and especially centering can be a son of a bitch.
However, there is a shortcut. If you don't mind your site to look like many others because a nice and usable copy is better than an ugly and unusable original, you can just go for CSS templates. Then it's "monkey see, monkey do" from the examples for that template.
Or, you can check out Hugo, a static website generator with lots of templates. Works nicely for brochure-like websites, and you avoid dealing with WordPress. -
dev14103816y@vlatkozelka I have problem with HTML + CSS, HTML is only xml format. What a matter. But you did understand that HTML template is mostly related to styling.
I'm really well educated to fucking scrap your entire website data.
Yes I'm only scumbag developers because I can't do make up those HTML with such fucking CSS script. -
dev14103816yI literally able to just changing background Color and some other stuff except templating. HTML page defined as a page that constructed by HTML (there's no problem with this). DOM manipulation is not my problem, DOM styling is.
Dude I want to ask you , It's possible for me to call myself as a software engineer if I always got a cancer when I try to create HTML template ? I'm suck as fuck on front-end, I can't even create a single HTML template even if you give me help with css framework. I don't know what to do with HTML and CSS, they're totally fucked up my life.
