Make sure you're not selling yourself short though.
First client or not, don't allow yourself to be worked like a dog but get paid jack shit. -
Don't sign a long term contract (review it all completely and challenge any gray areas), that's how many tear you a second asshole and make you work for the same amount up until completion or if you don't - drag you through the dirt both publicly to all around and mentally
make sure to communicate clearly what you will do for the amount of money and that if there's more needed that it will cost extra, so there's no "but we thought you're going to manage our website now, what pay?"
@Floydian thanks for tagging, you should stay, just stick to subs/mentions and then if those are empty add some content selectively from the feed. -
@Floydian I'll kick your fucking ass if you get depressed, did the mass wave at your work go through already? attempted to get to be the manager yet? I don't remember things as well
-
@Floydian haha damn, sounds great, though you should look into meditation or maybe even therapy indeed if you feel nothing of that is giving you any progress.
-
@Floydian gotta love those therapists that just cause more harm, while there's actual good ones out there, dragging down the image of therapy to "it won't help".. but I'll take your word on self therapy, you could keep us updated through devrant posts too on how it goes

@Bubbles "a project someone else tried to do but dipped on bc hes fucking stupid and a horrid person"
sounds like what a horrible client would paint the ex-developer as -
Bubbles68266y@JoshBent I went to school with him, hes a major douche and was an ass to me and my friends. But he did dip after accepting the job and not getting anything done and leaving the guy just paying some web hosting service to host a site that doesnt exist... yet..
Also question. How much do people usually charge as an average I know it varies but is there a general average people like?.. Apologies I'm new to the freelancing world and charging people -
@Bubbles don't stress it, I am happy to tell you my experience, I am a digital nomad though, so prices may vary doing physical freelancing :P
Average is always bad, what would it be worth it to you, to create the site, what's worth your time and how much money will he make per month once you create that website is all to be considered.
I'll post a link in a sec to a compilation of useful freelancing tips I've come up with - answering some questions.
I GOT MY FIRST CLIENT!! I'm not charging too much since it's my first client and I'm just focusing on the experience rather than pay. Were having a meeting Friday so he can tell me what he wants cause he didnt have all the info at the time. It's just a simple website and if he requests more when I present it I'll ask for more muns
