Wow, what a bunch of weirdos waiting for the Apple store in my city to open. Isn't it perverse to queue up for hours just to be able to BUY a product? It's not like you get a discount or anything. No - just because... I don't know... Why don't you wait a day or two longer or just simply buy it online? This cult-like obsession to be the first with the newest product can't be healthy for our society.

One of the reason why we call apple fan bois as a bunch of idiots 😂

Typical apple retards. I bet they're the kind who'll search for 'any' key on a PC keyboard.

some people have way too much money and free time in their hands.

Maybe they are paid to wait in line, to create an illusion of enormous interest. But yeah, it's probably not the case here. People are sheeps...

Heh, it's not just Apple products, people wait for movies opening, game release day and whatnot.

I am actually guilty of that one, one day I did wait for a WoW expansion (though I flaked out and asked friends to finish queueing and went to sleep). At least, that's a real drug.

Im still running a samsung S2... because it still works. These are the people that replace a phone that still works perfectly. Then throw away the old kne in the trash littering garbage sites with dangerous lithium batteries

It annoys me more to see people camping out on black friday outside of fucking stores.

I mean, if you gave me the option to choose any device I wanted for my workstation, I would always choose a Mac... OSX is great for development and not to mention the build quality is second to none.

Coming from someone who has used PCs all their life up until a few years ago.

@Comfy but these are iPhones haha. I freaking love my Mac, and I like my iPhone, but it's just a phone 😂

I walked by the opening in a city near me by accident. When I saw the line I asked them what it was about. I laughed a bit to hard after their reply.

    Fan boy here...

I don’t care what the product is, always let everyone else race for the first couple batches and find out what issues there might be. Once it’s calmed down and things are all ironed out, that’s the right time to buy.

There’s a really serious shortage of willpower.

This is what happens when you can't think for yourself you let marketing and media think for you.

You want to know what the hell is going on in their brains? Some neuroscientists from Berlin did some studies. Unfortunately i could only find a german article (https://www.focus.de/tid-29346/) so i will try to summarize:

They conducted a study with 25 test subjects, partly Samsung, as well as some Apple fans. They were shown images of products from both companies while their brain activity was recorded using an MRI scanner. The results show that Samsung products trigger a part of the brain called "prefrontal cortex", which is associated with decision making, planning and consideration. Meanwhile, Apple products activate an area of the brain related to sympathy with other people. Apple even triggers a part of the "temporal lobe" that is usually only activated when humans are stirred because they perceive emotional faces. The researches comment: "That's exceptional, because Apple has no face. They achieved to humanize their device - true to the motto 'the iPhone is my baby'"

@Byomeer maybe their sympathy is for the people that don't have the target Apple products 💩

These people are the early adopters (Rogers bell curve). They try to upgrade more frequently and always stay on the bleeding edge. Unfortunately they do contribute to E-waste.
