I hate GoDaddy, we all hate GoDaddy. We know this. I had VPS running a single site that was there for 8 years and only hanging on there for a few business reasons. It was to move this past May to another server, then June, then July ... continually waiting for the final phase to pass so I can move it. Backups running nightly to a separate GoDaddy FTP server ... for 8 years. All good for 8 years. Our company gets a new credit card ... I'm away and forget to update it with GoDaddy ... billing fails 3 times and they delete EVERTHING. No care about being a good customer for 8 years (14 total with other servers), no phone call, no nothing. Poof, gone. Now, I know I should have transferred backups locally or, at the very least, somewhere else. I just never expected this type of treatment. FUCK GODADDY!

    Nah that sucks, bro. GoDaddy gets pretty grimey when it comes time for that renewal. No matter what I try they never use my updated credit card info, always the old one and I get emails about failed billing until I manually go through the renewal process.

    Wow, that's insane. What a huge lack of loyalty to a great customer.

    I used to have a lot of domains with them and I was a little surprised when I started slowly transferring them away and they never even tried to get me to keep them there. I guess they don't care too much about retaining customers :/

    Also their prices are higher than the competition ( domain names ).

    that's true. they took my site down After I missed 2 days of the payment. there was o option of back up too. It sucks.

    @620hun I have been with InMotion for a few years now and love them. That's where this last site was to move ... if it existed :/

    Here are some of my favorites:

    Pantheon.io - (Pricy but worth it for single docroot Drupal or Wordpress sites with Dev/Test/Live environments, GIT enabled, and packaged with NewRelic monitoring. Works great for spinning up dev/staging sites.

    Linode.com - No frills VPS boxes. Packaged and priced reasonably. Do most anything with them.

    BlackMesh.com - Medium to Large multisite hosting VPS/Dedicated boxes. Fully supported and their support is top notch.

    Amazon AWS - Google it. Support varies.

    Hover.com - Domains and DNS. Email hosting is decent, but I use inbox aliases instead.

    https://dns.he.net/ - Insanely fast Hosted DNS.

    lets start a class actio against this whorebag, numbnuts, fuckturd of waste. Seriously $300 bucks later and im ready to actually take my fists to them.
