If the job is completely outside of your personal plan, maybe you should consider if it is really where you want to be.
If you decide that ultimately you can still get where you need to get whilst working this job, then just embrace it, flaws and all, and take as much away from the experience as you can.
It's also a good idea to start making time for your own personal development. I know this can be difficult (I used to work 12 hour days), but even finding a regular 30mins will ensure your skills don't become stale. You will need to make sacrifices as a good work life balance is difficult to achieve, but just work at it and you'll find a routine that works for you. -

Whilst working 12 hours I still made time for personal projects, but I relegated them to the weekends. It wasnt that bad either. It meant that by the end of the week I had already fleshed out the next part if my project in my head. I could breeze through for a good 6 to 8 hours and spend the rest if the weekend on social activities. -
zer02488yI agree with you, the problem is that i am in a loop i can't afford to quit the job without another source of money, and I can't find a way to create that source of money with the small amount of time and energy that is left after i come back from work

I've got into an impasse.
I'm working as a mobile developer for one of the well known multinational corporations. I am working here for 1.5 years, it's my first job and I'm already a team leader. It doesn't mean that this is my programming experience. The problem is that I'm feeling that this job stops me from growing on personal plan. I have no more time to work on my personal projects, i have no real portfolio, projects made for the company cannot be included in my portfolio and so on. And also the payment isn't real good so i can't quit and allocate my full time to my own projects. And without a good portfolio i can't get my own customers.
What do you guys would do in my situation.
