- local webdesigner in my neighbor city - for over a year now. They must be slower than me or plan a page that is complexer than the apple site.

Do I actually need this shit? I mean: really. Why?
If you relaunch, just leave your old one up. If you buy an domain and have nothing on it (and no google index) - who even bothers seeing this shit?

Correct me if I'm wrong.

"Under Construction" or similar notices are one of the most novice, unprofessional things you can do with a website. If you see that, walk away.

I'd say the brain of that designer is under construction, which also explains why it takes so long.

Well, I made a site for my mom. It's done, but she still needs to change her descriptions, ...
So it still shows "underconstruction " for more than a year now.

I've worked on an app that had a "coming soon" popup on one of it's features for like 6 months (ever since it's first release). Annoyed me so much but they kept it there for symmetry.
The feature was never built and eventually was replaced with something different 😕
