15 mins after finding out a critical bug (we are releasing 3 days from now)

Me: Have u found the root cause of the bug?
Teammate: Yes
Me: So, are we fucked?
Teammate: Teammate is typing...
Me:
*Closes chat window*
*Locks the computer*
*Flies back to home country*

Hahaha why you did not wait for an answer? And which country are you from / working at (if it's not private info)?

@wateringdisease "No" would have taken less than a second to write and send... "Someone is typing" triggering is bad news in this case x)

Or the person who was resourced to address the bug went on holiday that day. Why should they care about your release schedule when the whole team should work to the same schedule.

Also, asking "are we fucked?" isnt exactly helpful in my opinion. They probably know what is wrong already and worry about how that mistake affects their job. I've fucked up too many times to ask that and people should be saying "yes, we fucked up, how do we fix it"
