I find myself blessed to work in a company that seems to actually understand this.
Keep your mindset, to hell with after-hours.

pain04861718yI see this on the same day I I see this on the same day I'm asked to come in at midnight this Sunday which is Labor Day weekend to oversee a website being deployed in case there's problems. Wtf I have a family ya know.

sifton948yhahaha the tag for this is awesome. good on you for keeping your priorities straight and not letting yourself be taken advantage of :)
-
sifton948y@h3ll exactly. it's unfair to ask anyone to do more work than you're paying them to do.
-
@h3ll , so accurate. I wish more companies could distinguish between urgent and important tasks.

xios16488y@pixeltherapy @pain0486 a=a+b i'll come in if you mow the lawn and handle the dishes! =D remember to screencap the face =D
-
@Calli , I think my company would pay the neighbor's kid $15 to mow the yard to get me into the office.
-
I don't know why companies expect you to sacrifice for them but they will sacrifice you at the first sign of trouble

By day, I'm a developer.
At night, I'm a father of two awesome kids and a husband to a fantastic wife.
Stop fucking asking me to work after hours! Just because you sacrifice your life to the office doesn't mean we all do.
