    @njpugh90 Yep, anything they find useful belongs to them once I start working with them.

    First congrats on getting your apprenticeship, I'm also an apprentice in the UK :)

    But I must say that clause where any work you do outside is owned by them is quite harsh, if everything I made in two years was my organisations I'd be pretty demoralised.

    @BashouT Well it's to the tune of 17k for the first year so far, plus it would be pretty funny to have a cake recipie / dick measuring program copyrighted by a major company.

    @Ellis Ah well, for UK apprenticeships that's not a bad wage whatsoever do I guess it'll all be worth it. Good luck with it anyway 😁

    My employer here has a similar clause. I'd really like to seem them try to take me to court for those things. I'd be willing to license them access, but I retain ownership of my things made in my time. I've made them a few things to eliminate a few days worth of work a month, they have access and source code for the application, but so do I and if I have a use for this in a later position, and God help me if I do, I will continue to use this software.
