+1 for Lenovo - decent hardware and no issue finding Linux device drivers if needed.

Just get an (r)MBP, so many devs use them they're guaranteed to work great. It's what I've done for years.

Just don't buy the laptop that has AMD processor, I know many of my friends who have AMD and we tried like 5 different distribution each had some problems.
