    There are at least 15 commits on the repository where it's just that, and he's told me he refuses to learn how Git actually works

    Had this kind of attitude that I would make a good amount of changes in a commit and then make a structured commit message with 'git commit'.

    The closer I were to releasing = the less care for commit messages.
