I will get a new laptop for my apprenticeship today. I'm not sure if I should install Manjaro GNOME, Manjaro KDE or Fedora Workstation. What are your recommendations?

    Use what you are used to, unless you have any particular aversions (systemd, etc.).

    Id say Fedora or OpenSUSE for new laptops or any number of the build your own distros if you know what you are going to be working with.

    I was distro-hopping a long time before I installed Manjaro KDE. Never looked back

    Manjaro+i3 (and install KDE alongside in case you get frustrated).

    Arch (KDE). Require more time to setup but easier to troubleshoot after when you know what's up. But like others said, for a new laptop (with decent specs) I would probably stick to Windows.

    What’s the apprenticeship? If you’re being given a laptop by your employer I think it’s unlikely you’ll be able to put whatever OS you like on it.

    @SSDD im doing it as a Specialist Application Development (Google translate)

    I get it by my employer but in our company everyone can put their own OS and to a given price point co figure the laptop ourself :)
