devs30816yIn my experience, many companies does not necessarily have a fixed range when needing new people. That is especially true for larger/established companies.
I find that many me these companies will decide what you are asking matches your qualifications. They might not necessarily need someone with a ton of experience, but if someone with a lot of experience appears, they might choose to hire him and thus end at a higher salary.
That might be one reason to not give a salary range. -
webdev22036yIn Slovakia there is this new law, that the job ads MUST have at least a salary range. Im pretty happy about it, first meaningful law I remember in this country
You just need to know, i mean people have rents, loans, kids. Going to an interview where your_salary <= your_expenses is a waste of everyones time. Its ABSOLUTELY IDIOTIC if someone thinks your_salary <= your_expenses is OK. -
steipilz1196yAlso most of the time the company doesn't even know what exactly they are looking for. So depending on your skills, you may get another offer in the same company with a different salary.
I will NOT apply to your job if you do not give a salary range.
