TL;DR - Developers, do not buy HP Stream models laptop unless they are selling at $1.

Cannot even handle Sublime + Firefox + LAMP use case well. On lubuntu OS with literally nothing else on it. Sublime crashes every hour.

Now I am learning how to code using other tools before I can buy a better replacement for it. Failure with gedit; very slow and sluggish. Currently trying Geany.

It's a pain in the ass to learn new tool especially when you are so accustomed to something. 😣

@zlice lxde. But isn't lxde pretty light and minimal already? 🤔

@zlice I see, thank you. I'm gonna do those next week. 🙏 Pray for me.

For now I have to finish some tasks this weekend with whatever tools I can use 😔

@zlice I know. Potato spec. Just look at this.

Microprocessor 2.16 GHz Intel Celeron N2840 with Intel HD Graphics
Microprocessor Cache1 MB cache, 2 cores

    1MB. Freaking 1MB.

What do you call an HP Stream laptop running a gradle build?

    A frying potato.

@Root it is a silver lining that my miserable tool is a good joke for the dev community :3

I've got a Toshiba chromebook with a Celeron, 2gb of ram, and GalliumOS. I don't code with it but it handles everything well I've done with it. I did use Matlab on a remote computer with it, maybe try that?

These kinds of lappies are really useful regarding weight, price, and battery life. (@Alice provocation intentional)
