@RantSomeWhere I agree. it's a simple Google search away if you're not familiar with vim.
-
Not knowing how to use your OS is not a valid excuse. It's like saying the ink doesn't work when I haven't removed the pen cap.
-
@mjones44 I know, but not knowing how your OS works is not an excuse. Windows? Press the X button. Linux? kill -9. macOS? Apple icon, Kill Application and select vim.
-
@Proximyst Even still, you can't use this to make an argument about that one doesn't know how their OS works. Also, when people talk about exiting vim, that is not what they mean. It is more like how to "exit and save changes"(:wq), "exit and skip changes"(:q!), "just exit"(:q), the vim commands are what people refer to, not how do it in any particular OS.

@mega6382 Not in these memes. They're saying vim is too hard and bad to have as a default because they don't know how to close it at all.
-
@Proximyst I suppose but your way is not "exiting" vim as much as externally killing the process. I was talking about the actual Vim exit command.
-
@Proximyst lol okay technically yes. but the original point was the actual program exit command built into the vim software.
