Stay where you are, no need to switch.
On Windows use WSL
On Linux use Wine and in the worst case a VM. Which today shouldn’t be necessary anymore.
Also if you want to switch you can. -
@fuck2code I haven’t been using it for while, but when I was using regularly I never had any problem, but maybe that was because of my Insider builds.

Got to be Linux. It's free as in open and beer. For development work it's so much easier with things like apt, pacman etc, than making it work on windows. Most of the time it's the environment I'll deploy to anyway.
