You forgot that f includes the character you're searching, so dfc would also remove the first c.

Another solution would be dtc, which works much the same as dfc but goes up until the character *before* the one you're searching. But the correct answer, in fact, works.

What app is this? Im interested in learning vim, and this app seems good...
