By your post i assume you are gonna look for your first job. Employers dont see experience @ home as experience, so just say you are good with c# and elaborate on the interview.
Heres my cv if it helps https://razorsh4rk.github.io -
Well, 7 years could mean you're at Sr. level. In any case, you could put something like "specialized in C# with 7 years of experience". Keeping in mind that they will ask for proof (certificates and such). There's distinction between professional experience and just experience.
Good luck! -
Kyu9619107yYeah I want to apply for a part time job (First one). The C++ knowledge is university based, whereas my C# experience is self taught. Without giving myself to much credit I can say that I am actually pretty good. -
@sharktits That's what you understand from the way he phrased it, right? First job? But, how can you have 7 years of experience without ever having had a job? :/ Unless it's what I mentioned in my comment above.
-
@Kyu96 Then, I'm sorry to say, but you have no experience at all in the eyes of a recruiter :( Maybe if you do great in the technical test you'll get the job!
-
@telephantasm 'from those who already have a job' sounds like a beginner in a professional sense to me. But yeah, 7 years alone is like no exp at all. Just dont be cocky, if you know your shit, theyll hire you.

Kyu9619107y@zickig Yeah I have a repo on github where I published a project about pose analysis and neural networks I worked on for university. That's the only project I published tho. -
Etnath437yI would advise you to prepare a cv according to the position you apply for. If you apply for a C# position, I would not mention you know about Delphi or html. It is all about what the prospective employer care about

From those of you who are already working fulltime/have experience with applying for jobs. I am currently writing my CV and I am not sure how I can mention my programming knowledge in an adequate way. I have 7 years of C# Knowledge, started of with VB.NET before. 2 years with python, C++ Knowledge ~3 years, basic experience with Delphi, html.. How did you mention this in your cv? By years of experience or different?
