Decided to switch from qwerty to Dvorak since I saw someone rant about it. Took me 3 min to write this, plus another 1 min for this ...

    I am intrigued as to what could the benefits of this be!!

    @AleCx04 Ive done it and I noticed I could do things quicker than with qwerty.

    But I stopped using it because using both qwerty and dvorak is confusing

    @AleCx04 well, Dvorak is not supposed to improve typing speed over qwerty, it's supposed to improve typing fidelity, less errors, less movements.
    Even though, now that we have autocorrection and autocompletion it might be a bit useless to use.
    Still worth a try 😃

    I've heard that colemak is better than dvorak, but don't quote me. I have tried it but couldn't be bothered to go through a phase of slower typing.

    @Jilano carry your own keyboard? The layout is setup in the PC not in the keyboard xD

    I loved it and noticed less finger cramping when using it, but as stated, using both layouts is a PITA so I switched back.

    I love the shit out of dvorak. it makes ALL the sense. I am still classically well trained on qwerty too but I don't miss typing on qwerty whatsoever at all. after being used to dvorak qwerty feels like the most awkward shit to use.

    Try Colemak. Personally I felt the transition from qwerty was far smoother as compared to Dvorak

    @code2fuck
    I currently fail to understand why colemak exists or how it's better than dvorak. looks like your control shortcuts are same as qwerty like zxcv which may make the transition easier but what is the goal once the transition is complete? how does it compare to dvorak?
