codumke3397yThx for all your contributions, for the Questions to get answered: Yes I'm coming from Windows and at the moment I just want to learn Linux (How to work with it, nothing special so far)

vityavv1297yI hear a lot of people say Ubuntu, but I gotta say KDE Neon. It's Ubuntu-based but it comes with KDE, which imo is a better de because of it's customization and (relatively) light weight. It works amazingly well on my >5 year old laptop. If you want to get a little dirty, but not too much, I would also recommend installing OpenSUSE with KDE or another de.

Try Ubuntu ,Elementary OS or Mint.
They will help you to adopt into Linux ..

Go with Ubuntu without a doubt. The latest one now comes with Gnome Desktop. Previous versions used Unity Desktop. This will give you solid entry for learning the command line. Once you get the terminology and feel comfortable, then make your leap to any other distro. Kubuntu is also another nice option though it is a bit more heavy because KDE is huge. But KDE is so customizable that you can modify every aspect of it.

@fuck2code I hated KDE for ages. Then KDE Plasma came out. People's told me to try it, refused every time.

@fuck2code Although I love the keyboard, I'm an eye candy whore. I really like beautiful themes :)
Most of my desktops are filled with terminals though ;P
