@RantSomeWhere it's an OS made out of cubes
You might think I'm joking but not really, the entire OS is security focused where they have used compartmentalization at it's best.
Everything you do on your system in separated using "qubes" which are all isolated from one another, and even if one of them gets compromised only that particular qube is affected and no other.

@Haxk20 I think saying it's a Linux based OS is an oversimplification and not exactly that
They use xen over here, and using that they create virtual environments. So it's basically like a type 1 hypervisor where you can have multiple VMs running. -
Teknas27517yHey @linux I like the idea behind QubeOS
I am not personally that paranoid about security, but the application level isolation will be very useful to me somewhere, sometime soon.
The project is really really cool though!
Do they use docker or some other containerization the scenes ? -
Teknas27517y@justasithlord OMG that's amazing.
This would probably sell as a better Xen management tool 🤣🤣 -
@Teknas Just wondering, what would be paranoid about using it? As in, when looking at the definition of paranoia, how would a qubes user fit in?
-
Teknas27517y@linuxxx a normal person does not need to containerize applications 😂.
You're @linuxxx , not classified as normal. -
@Linux nice! I use it from time to time. I find it better than tails and easier than ispredia

Ah, I tried do some relaying for I2P for a while, but my IPS picked the traffic up for some reason. -
@Linux I've never even heard about I2P until I tried ipredia. I couldn't iPXE boot it (my favorite method of trying out different distros) but it works beautifully in gnome boxes
So, my mirror.linux.pizza got accepted as a official QubeOS mirror :)
