The trial of https://litmus.com/ helps a lot (to preview the changes), just make sure to cancel after you're done, or else it'll autocharge

Litmus and/or emailonacid are your friends. Right after mso-line-height-rule:exactly when dealing with less than 16px height.🤓
I've already ranted about it, email clients are made in hell by the devil himself. -
@JoshBent yep I know that one, thanks. Unfortunately we need to implement the newsletter on the clients site and not as a third party solution like litmus or cleverreach ☹️
-
@freakko I've used everything from f.formails to mjml newsletter engine.. as soon as there's a div or <!if MSO | IE> tag included, outlook fucks up, even though those tags are FOR outlook. I learned my lesson and now I just start from scratch and write everything myself with just table tbody TD tr elements.

@daintycode I'd love to use them but the client wants to send the newsletter from his site. There's a Typo3 extension which allows user to select an internal page and convrrt it to newsletter layout. And from the website itself it has to be sent. So no possibility of any third party solution here.

@highonsleep litmus is just for checking your mail across a ton of clients, including all sorts of outlooks, since it seems to be you assumed its for the mail delivery? atleast thats my guess.
edit: saw your reply to dainty, even then it should be possible though? can't see how a page would be different -
@highonsleep yeah had those too, thats why I mentioned only using it during trial until another client isnt feeling as cheap
I usually as soon as I hear "email" or "newsletter" add the litmus cost on top, as its really not worth it setting it all up yourself
