Dont know about the Hardware, but uefi and/or secureboot could cause the problems.

Apparently, I was assigning Removable Device as a high priority in boot menu, but the USB device was listed under HDD. Rookie mistake. I tried booting and I could see the Ubuntu logo coming up. Thanks for the help @sergiolarosa89 @Null-Device @metamourge

@SHA-16384 I installed Ubuntu server, but its not booting up. I have 2 masters and 2 slaves, they are kind of messing it up. It comes up fine with just 1 HDD. Maybe I'm missing the right configuration. I'll put up some pictures when I have it readyπ

Oh about that. When I turned on the server the other day, I started to smell something burning. But I was too late. I heard a small pop sound. I think I fried my server. I'll open it up to see what went wrong.
Stay tuned.

Last week my university decided to give away old hardware to students (CPUs, displays, keyboard, mouse, speakers, printers etc.). My roommate got me this beast. I was so excited and decided to boot it up only see to GRUB error 22 :( I think the hard drives were wiped before handing it out.
I've never set up a server before and I've been trying to boot up an Ubuntu server via USB drive but it's not detecting the OS installation files. I've been searching all around to make this work but it's not fucking working. I don't have any other cables or CD drive to try something else. I want to make this work. I have exams next week and I can't stop thinking about this. Godammit
