I use git to deploy our python sites.
nice to simply do a "git push web"

Git pull with custom scripts. :)
I've vritten even the tool to do that job for me which I am using activelly : https://github.com/MisterDr/...
using hooks for github and bitbucket.

@JohanO I was asking to automate stuff from the scratch like installing dependencies and configuring stuffs if I have to deploy same app to multiple servers

Use Envoyer for deploying PHP apps. It is pretty easy. Here is a tutorial: https://cloudways.com/blog/...
You can also use other tools like Deployer, DeployBot or DeployHQ. All of them does same thing, but the process might be different.
