I've worked with a deprecated system, which doesn't uses REST/SOAP/similar API interface, but it fucking used FTP. You uploaded a text file with a instruction, and every 30 minutes the server parses the files and then deletes them. Trust me, this is the biggest bullshit I've ever seen in my life.

As far as I know, this mess is still used.

Edit: The server created a result.txt after it deleted the instruction, you had to download it yourself with FTP.

Frontend stuff which I can safely drop from my resume:

    Java applets.
    Popup windows.
    Forms implemented by application/x-www-form-urlencoded POST
    XML part of XmlHttpRequest
    Portals (that was a nonsense)
    JSP
    GWT
    Struts
    WAP

Actually.. lol. In the last 2 years I've had to work with almost all 'prehistoric technologies' cited here: SOAP, COBOL (mainframe), NetBeans, Npp++, JSP. Oh, and even for new projects.
