Anyone care to explain to me what does that function do? It's a part of user32.dll.

Creates a window? Its pretty self explanatory.

@sharktits Not the highlighted functions.. genius.

@HelloUglyWorld Then why are the window functions highlighted if that's not what you're asking about...genius

@JMoodyFWD Because I was doing CTRL+F.. genius genius.

Probably the super funny CREATE_GAY function. What are you? Twelve?

Also highlighting something and then being pissed about getting an answer directed to that is utterly stupid. Come back when you got your mind together

@Kimmax I'm not pissed and I'm not twelve.

I just can't think of anything that CREATE_GAY could possibly do.

@Kimmax didn't even realize that it said gay. Thanks for showing what he meant!
Reminds me a little of my windows time when I never fucking understood what was going on

@b3b3 My first guess was that GAY was a short or acronym for something, but googling 'windows GAY' doesn't do much.

Wow, yeah. No information about it on the internet. Just an empty documentation page: https://pinvoke.net/default.aspx/...

So I actually looked into this, since I cant find any documentation either, but while I can find all other functions, the CREATE_GAY one is missing. Would you mind sharing that dll?

    I'm on 10 Pro x64 Build 10.0.16299

@Kimmax I didn't find it inside the dll - I found it on pinvoke while looking for 'windowpos'.

@Kimmax the whole idea woulda been that we ignore the gay thing, but you ruined it
  • 2
@HelloUglyWorld Then why didn't you crop the screenshot and cut out the highlighted lines, rather than get bitchy with people because your screenshot wasn't clear?

@sharktits I wanted to show that it probably serves some purpose and maybe learn from an otherwise meaningless rant.

Now that I can't find the references in the actual dll seems like it has been removed / replaced / renamed or it's an error on pinvoke

Why should we stop? Just because it says gay? Nah.

GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY

And now? People nowadays treat it like something bad or what, trying to kill the word. I don't care. I just want to know what kind of hacks mickysoft did to end up with a function call that otherwise doesn't fit the naming convention.

    @Kimmax I think I found the answer.

The page was editted on 12th of March, it looked like this previously:

"Tips & Tricks: Please don't use it" kinda says it all.

This is nothing but a result of allowing people to contribute to your website without verifying what they actually submit.
