dr-ant13577yI want to be in your situation. 😌
I'm ready to leave but I have no idea where to go. -
No feedback means high chance of you being rejected already. Small chance they are still screening some other applicants. Google or watch youtube on strategy and tips about job applications. You might be doing something wrong that you're not aware of mate.

GhostDev9257y@dr-ant well I have been in your shoes, the best thing to do, is figure out what you want from a place, what shit you're willing to deal with and what shit you're not willing to deal with, excluding the usual shit you get in the industry, ie. Project managers being a pain, people being lazy, bad code etc. Then consider your risks, what you have to lose by taking a leap of faith, for example I have a savings account that can cover my expenses for about a year, I do not touch those savings until I have found the perfect place and I keep adding to it for piece of mind. Then decide what you want from your chosen place, new tech every other month or stable stagnate like environment (both work for me, but I get bored with the stagnate like one but as I get older I am more drawn to it for the sake of stability in my life). Then you start by looking for places that match your desires... If however you feel you're not highly hireable and need more experience, grit your teeth and take whatever!

GhostDev9257y@Devnergy good advice, I was waaay to scared to ask questions or to offend people in interviews, then I realised that it's my life and future on the line and I need to know, I do research and structure my go to ask list for the spesific interview.... But i still get a tad nervous and have to pep talk myself every time... I'm not exactly the most assertive person in person.

GhostDev9257y@Yamemori wow thank you so much... I really enjoy writing but afraid I have no blogs or columns, I have actually considered it... But never committed to finding a suitable space... Perhaps I should create my own space and make it my harbour of random columns.
-
dr-ant13577y@GhostDev I think you understood it and the tips are helpful.
I try to not think about places that I can go to. That way I keep options open and save myself from considerable pain (of rejection).
Though I have some clear boundaries about what I won't get into. But I can't leave my current job without a backup because I have nothing to fall back on. 😅
I will be hungry and on the street tomorrow if I stop working today. I seriously doubt if I am hireable, highly or otherwise. (working on it)
But thanks for the exhaustive strategy. It was very kind of you. ☺ -
GhostDev9257y@dr-ant gosh, between a rock and a hard place it seems... Well if you need backups, get that savings started as best you can, even if it's just a few meager bucks a month it builds up, and never burn a bridge, that strategy has me with 3 potential places where I can go back to if things fail, but if you ever need any further advice, I am sure I can find a way to assist. You know where to find me (Oo,)
-
dr-ant13577y@GhostDev oh yes. I've started late but I've started on savings.
I am tempted to burn this bridge. I would love to just blurt it all out till their ears bleed or they melt with guilt. But I'll try to keep it in.
Thanks but where do I find you? 😶 -
dr-ant13577y@GhostDev Ikr? It's going to be so tough to not burn them.
I'll try my best though.
Besides I've devrant to vent and a ghost for advice just a shout away. ^^
Okay so I just went from getting no feedback on job applications to having more appointments than I can manage.... You'd think this is a good thing but how do you do this with or raising suspicion... Guess it means I did something right in all my hard work and late nights....
