Nope. I don't really need a Facebook in my life. Life has been much better even since i stayed out toxicity ( esp from people you know in real life ) of social media.

@Floydian
because people would use it.
tbd.
all the perks of facebook without the tracking. -
@floydian the sustenance model is tbd. ffs it's not my project, and @CozyPlanes was just putting his line into the water. if he decides to make it, it will be entirely up to him.

cursee171597yEveryone, let's just say yes. And we will see what we gonna have. Don't say no. 😑 We can always neglect it afterwards 😜

The OP asked for thoughts on his idea,
why wouldn't give our honest thoughts on his idea? -
cursee171597y@Grexius hmm I'm with you on the OP is asking our thoughts on his idea. Totally.
But that's why I would encourage him to go with it. If he were more serious with this and posted a collab instead of this, I also quite a few questions for him.
And I really don't mind having a good Facebook alternative. -
SSDD47977yFb spends hundreds of millions of dollars on development and infrastructure.
Hundreds. Of. Millions.
They make that money by selling your data. I’m so confused as to why this was such a big shock to everyone.
However my point is, it would be unlikely that anyone could scale to facebook’s level without either charging a subscription model or doing what they do; whoring out their users to the highest bidder.
Maybe a social network that charges a monthly fee is the next evolution. -
Idea: Social network, but everyone's device hosts all the personal information. Device goes offline? Existence of that person is hidden (because that part of the database is disconnected). Simply put, if the entire social network is a single database, a user's phone/device/server holds his/her personal data.
I know it's not feasible, but on a small scale it just might work. :D
What do you think? If anyone is interested, I'd be ready to collab!
