Ace714259007yDude this is why I legit hold off on looking for jobs sometimes... People act like in today's day and age you have to use a recruiter and its just middle man BS and tons of contract work... I just want to talk to a company directly
-
@bobd3 if you're experienced in LAMP stack and looking to build your experience, I'm looking for a junior to handle typical day to day stuff while I work on the bigger projects.
If you're interested, shoot me an email at jmoody4hire@gmail.com with your resume and some code samples and I'll run it by the company I freelance for. -
Ace714259007y@bobd3 Agreed. Honestly on a whole I am completely fed up with corporate america. Its a eat or be eaten culture where companies latched on to the down job market and never let go. They just want to hire people at lowball 30-50k and they want them to have all the education and experience necessary to jump in day one and not be trained. There's no such thing as a "career company" anymore. That's why I'm killing myself with no sleep trying to go freelance
-
@bobd3 Also, just want to clarify that I'm NOT a recruiter. I freelance for a company, but I am in charge of their IT and development. You'd be working directly with me if we were to move forward.

<!DOCTYPE RANT>
I simply can't understand why these recruiters need "large experience" in every fucking language they can pull out of a search? "large experience" in one particular language is a better and sensible requirement and the quality of work would obviously be better. But no. These fucking corporations need to save every single penny so fuck code quality we need someone who can do everything however fucked up the code written is.. -

I would be interested but forgive me if I take it with a grain of salt. do you have another way i could contact you? -
@bobd3 Look, I don't know you and you don't know me. If you don't want to send a simple email with your resume and some samples of your work, no worries and have a nice day. But I don't share any specifics of my work or the company I work for on devRant. E-Mail is the best way to reach me.

absolutely man, I may not be the most talented developer in the world but I am still learning, I went to a bootcamp 2 years ago and I still learn new things every day, that is the only thing that keeps me in this, I love that I learn new stuff every day and have toyed with the idea of starting my own agency. Do you have any advice for a new comer to the entrepeur field?
who else hates recruiters/ recruiting companies? I have been looking for work a while now and my inbox is inundated with "senior" level roles asking for 7+ years experience in every language imaginable. I have only been at this going on 3 years now and definitely don't consider myself senior by any means but do aspire to get there some day. But how the fuck am I supposed to do that if no one will give me experience?? Rant over
