xroad23808y@MicroNibble in the states it depends. If she logged into her personal email via her work computer he would be able to access the computer and whatever's in it since it's company property
-
xroad23808y@MicroNibble ah. Yeah honestly I don't know why anyone would fire someone trying to leave the company anyway. You'll just end up paying more in unemployment insurance. Not to mention knowledge transfer will be impossible

beefo-113068y@xroad @MicroNibble They used it as an excuse to fire her, she had a few (acceptable) clashes with PM, like unachievable targets - imagine ask to build Spotify in 3 hrs, of course the answer is NO please be realistic. But PM is a "do whatever you were asked to do" person, he took things personally and picked on her, I mean receiving a warning letter because of typos on emails?
Management are so messed up, if they know you're looking for new job, they'll find a lawful way to dispose you first. -
beefo-113068y@zacpool yes it is illegal but since people at the top are real power players, they'll do things to make you leave or setting up traps so they can then dismiss you legally

PM: I can't see the Facebook page, can you check what's wrong with it?
Me: *click click tab tab* There's not much I can do... I don't have the admin access
PM: Who is the admin?
Me: ABC (who is on holiday)
PM then decided to bombard ABC with emails & phone calls (& to ABC's family)
PM: When ABC comes back, ask for the login details
Me: But that's linked to the personal account.....
PM: It doesn't matter
Where the f is privacy?
p.s PM is an arrogant bastard who logged in to ex-colleague computer, read her personal emails, found out she went to a job interview, told the boss and asked her to come back then fired her on the spot
