Who's with me?!

"Oh, you're a programmer? I've been thinking about getting a book on HTML and becoming one too."

I see it as people just not really being familiar with the field. Probably a liberal arts friend from college is like, oh, I know this person works on websites! I'll endorse their HTML skills!

Though commonly ridiculed for it's simplicity, I feel HTML has it's place amongst any of the other languages I use.
Just like any other language, it has to be used properly. This is especially true considering the weight put on DOM hierarchy from search engines.

The cool thing is, knowing how to write HTML is not different from knowing how to write documents with word
