JavaScript is not difficult.

No javascript is easy. But the trouble comes about when you want to write complicated stuff.

It's probably not but it's quite ugly when you want to write something more complicated. Also there's just too much specific stuff.

I have more than 10 years experience coding JS.

And I still consider myself to be sucking at it, mainly because I don't do it full time so I can't keep up with all the innovations in it.

As a language - sure, it looks simple, but it's fucking not, when you need to know every little tiny detail in order to make use of it well in larger projects.

Also knowing the frameworks and design patterns are 90% of the challenge.

The proficiency using a weapon depends upon its wielder so hard for some and not hard for others
