@chipset don't quote me, it might be something worth Googling, but I think Twig Views came before Liquid views, but they're very similar in style. I just went with Twig since it works better with Slim and all of my other frameworks being used

could this be html email markup? in which case such practices -however horrible- to get your email looking somewhat similar across many many email-clients are pardonable.
