    KeePassX

I have been using it for very long time.
    So far no issues yet.

If you want something really bullet proof see here. https://www.privacytools.io/#pw

If you want something more convenient I suggest Dashlane or LastPass

I recommend the keepass format, it has been implemented by many app, like keeweb (nice-looking webapp), keepass (the original), keepassCx(remake of the original app in c++), and many mobile apps. Most of them are free (as in freedom) and you can store it almost anywhere (your pc, cloud service, etc.). It is very secure and has been around for quite a bit.

KeepassX and keybase.io for synchronization. Keybase uses end-to-end encryption before uploading your files.
    Enough security in my opinion.

And one additional thing: It's a really bad idea to store your keybase password (which is required to login into the client) inside the kdbx file. Don't ask me how I found out.
