While I have never encountered a non-techie Linux user, I still include Linux in that question, just to remind people that Linux is still relevant.
-
@J-2FA I literally did that but ended up in a few minutes convo of explaining wheat Linux was a couple of times and although I like talking about that, I in general don't have time for that haha
-
@franga2000 My parents and sister are non techie Linux users as well as two of my best friends :)
-
@linuxxx Congrats! (I'm assuming you convinced them)
I do have a new theory: non-techie Linux users rarely ask for tech support because they'd rather annoy the friend/relative who roped them into it. -
where's the rant!? I WANT YOU SWEARING THE BLOODY WAY OUT OF THIS BEAUTIFUL EXPERIENCE
HOW HORRIBLE THIS WORLD IS THAT MAKES YOU FORGET ABOUT THE LINUX OPTION
shitty users! fuck the mainstream OS!
Had a customer on the phone who couldn't figure something out. Wanted to give him instructions so I asked him whether he used mac or windows (getting used to not including Linux in that question). His reply: uhm this has a weird name... do you know elementary os?
Me: you're a Linux user?!
Him: yes, I'm done with windows and mac.
Then i gave him the instructions. Nice twist of the day!
