@ejwill it will be retroactive but only calculated based on current data, so down voting and then removing/changing the vote wouldn't be included :) Ex. if you have many down votes on rants the algo thinks are good based on other feedback metrics (score, #comments, etc.) then all of your down votes might be factored out of any current and future scores your vote is currently counted in.

@localhost we're thinking more the "Don't be a dick" algorithm. devRant is fun now but trolls wait under every bridge...
