Thank you ranters for suggesting. Just bought a MacBook Air. Feels great. Feels Proud. I now understand why people use Macs.

Had the same feeling after I bought mine. Got a Macbook Pro and the only thing I could think of was 'I just bought hardware worth 400 dollars for 1500', but tbh it was kinda worth it. I like it so far. But I can understand the hate towards Apple too. I was looking at the prices for iMacs (just out of curiosity) and they charge you from 16GB to 32GB 300 dollars (if I remember right). If you have some basic understanding of PC's you could easily change/expand it yourself with some ram sticks.

Now all you have to do is scrap the OS and put some Linux on there. The MacBook air is one of my favourite pieces of computer hardware I've ever owned. But man has mac OS gone down the drain ...

When I have one, I'll feel something. ...

Danke, I really like os x. It is Unix based, so compared to my windows gaming machine it is a huge difference fir developing.

Yeah I can't really endorse anyone going from OSX to Linux. I mean even if OSX hasn't done much lately in terms of their OS, it's still pretty damn good. I prefer it or Ubuntu over Windows any day though.

Why air? MacBook has retina?
