Borks587y@Torbuntu ah yes, we too have a common answer that gets passed around sometimes to the question why is it the way it is? "Legacy reasons" - but luckily I get to choose my own project tools. Good luck to you though.

@Torbuntu we use PHP 5.4 on our dev server, and PHP 7.2 on production server.
Mostly because prod server isn’t controlled by us.
I’m working on upgrading our dev server... it’s just that lots of shit is going to break, especially our project management tool... I tried.
Though I’m experimenting with maybe making sites as docker containers, just to be able to reduce server idle load
