@irene I'm an incident manager, not a dev. But even then, they have special environments they work in (but have access to what feels like all the ides and editors). Plus, we risk exposure to A LOT of PII on a regular basis, so they try to keep everyone safe (we shouldn't get PII, but our customers don't seem to care about their data as much as we do... Had someone email me all their info to run a test query rather than doing it themselves - that paperwork sucked).
Got distracted, basically, people suck so I can't have fun, but I got a free hug. So it's ok. -
@ThatDude free hugs are usually good. Unless they're creepy. But this wasn't a creepy hug, so it's ok.
-
@ThatDude ah. I will gladly accept any and all non-creepy hugs headed your way (as long as the person doesn't smell bad)...
-
I’ve tried to automate stuff at the office as well. Security payed me a visit, but it did not end in a hug...
-
@irene It wasn’t that bad they just came to lecture me about only using signed scripts... when automating stuff on company devices
Got bored at work today and tried to write a program to do my job for me. Security and compliance saw it in the logs (trying to run unauthorized program) and came to give me a hug.
