It depends on who you want to look at your site.
For Germany .com and .de both work while .com is more international.
That being said there are all sorts of TLDs available these days. -

I am using .ca I like having a regional domain. Especially in Canada because to have a .ca domain, you must be a Canadian citizen. So it's kinda like "hey, look! I am Canadian"

My only problem with NetCup is their blacklist for users with high bandwidth usage. As I am running a search engine/crawler on the vServer I got like instantly blacklisted and my bandwidth was restricted π
But anyway thank you for the feedback βΊοΈ

should i use ". de" or ". com", what would you prefer?
