How far do you run from it? And how much do you turn from horizontal? Can you see it then?

I had a thought that maybe alternate realities are accessible through a different polarization of perception. Not sure the right words. Some sort of looking glass dependent upon frequency/wavelength in your mind/soul.

@Demolishun Interesting thought. Do you mean visually like being able to see a different portion of the electromagnetic spectrum? Imagine seeing the 3MHz to 6GHZ part. Depending on how sensitive we are, some radios might blind us.

@-red No, I mean like stepping into or seeing different realities. Some sci-fi shit you could use mumbo jumbo sciencey words to capture the imagination.

Although spectrum vision would be pretty wild too. I mean we do that with radio telescopes.

Have you read Surface Detail by Iain M. Banks by any chance? There’s something called a neural lace with once implanted, grows in the brain and in months, gains full coverage of it. And using that, we can achieve what you’re describing and a lot more. In fact, that reality control is one of the subjects of the book.

If we can achieve fine control of the location and intensity of electromagnetic radiation, then we can do that non-invasively too. Along with a ton of other things. I don’t know if anyone is researching it.

Also, how do you represent such realities? I mean how would you specify or store them?

@-red I guess the way to express alternate realities is books, movies, art, and games.

@Demolishun That reminds me of another book: Hyperion by Dan Simmons. XD
