Thats always a ride tbh. if it gets stuck for longer than 3 hours its safe to say it has a sloppy, so you need to restart the entire installation usually, which sometimes does continue from done progress, but mostly it just starts from the very start again.

You're going to need a lot of patience, good luck with installing VS

@theNox T.T there's a possible project but is in .Net so I need to practice, what do you suggest me? What should I install?

@ajfmo maybe Jetbrains have something, idk really

@ajfmo apparently @theNox is right, there is some frankenstein that Jetbrains did: https://www.jetbrains.com/rider/ though that only support .net core and mono dev, which are not even remotely close to .net iirc, so basically VS is the only way.

Edit: seems like it also supports "normal" .net, but I still don't trust into that actually working or being remotely as usable as VS, which is now being developed for decades.

Vs2017 has a clever installer that only downloads required packages, but you can also force the installer to make a complete offline installer.

Takes downloading out of the equation.

@theNox @ajfmo just tried the rider thing, yeah.. that's not an option, all it offers is class library, asp.net, console apps and the like, theres nothing even remotely for actual desktop or even .net core desktop development, so visual studio is still the only way to go

Too bad it doesn't work for you. 2017 is pretty good.
