Yeah, I also have the bug, but I wouldn't have ever noticed it unless you said that you can reproduce it by switching tabs quickly back and forth.

Quickly switching between Rants and Notifs creates this.. thing... I've been able to repeat it consistently. Just quickly tap the bottom of the screen of the app, switching from one thing to another will cause this. Bug? Idk. Feature? Maybe. Hotel? Trivago.
